biNu is an application platform that gives you the power and functionality of a smartphone from any Java phone.

biNu offers fast access to Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and popular news sites. It includes games, utilities and even a WhatsApp-style messaging app, biNu Messenger, which allows you to chat and send text messages for free from your phone. The Messenger app lets you send free texts to anyone else who has biNu setup. Unfortunately, it doesn't recognize who has the service from your phone's contacts.

Launch biNu and you'll be presented with a series of different 'apps', presented in the way you might see on a typical smartphone, such as an Android or Symbian device. The design of this interface is a bit crude and the icons are quite badly put together. However, in terms of functionality, biNu offers a lot of useful applications. Here's what you get:

  • Search (via a choice of search engines)

  • News (RSS feeds of popular news sources, categorized by location

  • biNu Messenger

  • Facebook

  • Sports

  • biNu beats (Twitter-style social network service)

  • Books

  • Twitter

  • Games

  • Surveys

  • Quizzes

  • YouTube

  • Quran

  • Encyclopedia

  • Weather

  • Bible

  • Wordnik
  • biNu is fast and easy to use, and includes shortcut keys that allow you to access apps and options simply by tapping a number on your keypad.

Although biNu is old fashioned in its design, it provides quick access to lots of useful and popular services, as well as a messenger for sending free SMS messages.
